Though it is one of the several TAVI cases that we did at our center, this is the first one with SAPIEN 3 ULTRA RESILIA wall with dry tissue technology, as it has been recently introduced in India. Though it is operational in USA since 2021 .
Also , we are proud to state that It is first TAVI with this dry tissue valve in north eastern Mumbai and Thane region.

On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras (18th October 2025), Indigo Hospital Super Speciality Healthcare, achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully implanting its first Sapien 3 Ultra Resilia — the world’s first and only dry tissue valve, renowned for its cutting-edge durability and outstanding clinical performance.
This pioneering procedure was performed under the expert guidance of Dr. Ashish Agrawal, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, whose extensive experience and precision ensured a seamless and successful intervention.
The patient — a 60-year-old male with Type 1 bicuspid anatomy (RCC and NCC fused) and severe LV dysfunction, who had previously declined surgical intervention — was implanted with a 29 mm Sapien 3 Ultra Resilia valve, achieving excellent post-procedural outcomes.
